About:

Sergei is a Berklee alumnus, guitar player, improviser, composer, and educator. Awarded a Berklee Online Celebrity Scholarship in the name of Steve Vai, he now serves as a Berklee mentor.



Sergei is the leader of Los Angeles jazz quartet, Deuces Wild Jazz. He has more than 10 years of experience as a guitar tutor, and taught Guitar Performance Techniques at BIMM (British Irish Modern Music Institute) in Berlin, Germany.



Known for his electrifying guitar sounds, charismatic live performances, and trademark fusion of musical influences, Sergei continues to explore electric guitar horizons while defying standardization.

Working with Sergei was an exceptionally good experience! I am absolutely delighted with the outcome! Everything went swimmingly! However, I believe that this is because I wasn't overly strict with my instructions and gave him some room to improvise. I think that's what one has to do when using the services of such a musician — because that's the sort of thing they specialise in, isn't it? It's a balancing act between getting the exact kind of sounds you want as a songwriter/composer and allowing them to bring the best of their own approach to it. But if you do it right, it's very rewarding! So I can definitely see myself hiring him again!
