I have been playing bass for over 20 years, and have performed live and recorded in studio settings for about 15 years. Musical influences early on included The Meters, RHCP, Sly and the Family Stone, Primus, and James Brown, which deeply rooted me in funk, soul and percussive stylings. In 2005 I began exploring alternate time signatures and counter-rhythms which created a new soundscape to play within. In 2007 I joined a Denver-based funk-rock band that went on to win 'best funk band' honors in 2010 by Westword. Since then, I have developed a more melodic styling to my writing, which is expressed through chords, rhythm structure, and harmonies.
