Will add 2 uniquely beautiful musical instruments to enhance your music. The Oud is a near eastern forerunner of the western lute and hence the western guitar. The Ney or Nai is a near eastern river reed end blown flute, one of the oldest instruments known to be played for over 5000 years at least. Both are capable of adding unique tonal, textural and timbre qualities to musics of all types. Melodies take on an otherworldly deep emotional feel and both instruments can utilize micro-tonal melodic aspects as well. Traditionally used to accompany vocalists, the Oud is a great instrument for rhythmic work, riffs and underpinnings, it has a large range from low C in bass clef (2 lines below the staff to high C in treble clef (2 lines above staff). The Ney has a hypnotic quality, a clear clean upper range and a throaty breathy lower range, great for haunting textures. I can add any type of musical idea you need; rhythms, melodies, solos or short arabesques etc and they compliment and work well with practically any type of music. I use the latest Digital Performer software for recording with Josephson C42, MXL 993, Audio-Technica At4033/SE mics. Deliver you uncompressed .wav files.
